The rising star also believes has done enough to last the distance at Cape Town City. He was speaking in an interview with Zibonele FM.
Luyolo Slatsha said: “It was very tough basically because you will be in a development phase. You are a seed that is being planted, so you will have to learn.
“Learning how to handle yourself as a footballer, discipline on and off the field of play. It was a good experience. You know that at training there is no time to waste.”
HOW LUYOLO SLATSHA ADAPTED AT CAPE TOWN CITY
Luyolo Slatsha detailed what it took him to settle and adjust to the style of play at City.
“There is alot of talent in Cape Town so if there is another team in the PSL. It means there will be more oppurtunities for Diski players,” he said.
“It’s good to have them [Cape Town Spurs]. It will mean competition but worthwhile for the City. My first six months were a little bit of both difficult and easy, but professionalism at the club drove it.
“It wasn’t as easy because you are coming to a team where nobody knows you. At that time, the team already had their players and I had to work my way out.
“I had to prove myself and show what I have to put on the table. I will be learning alot from the senior players that are already in the team.
“In football you deal with certain situations over and over again but how you deal with them is important. And it gives you distinction,” the Cape Town City player added.
