Mamelodi Sundowns loanee eyeing permanent move in Gauteng
One of the Mamelodi Sundowns loanees is eyeing a permanent move in Gauteng ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.
The Brazilians had a handful of players who were sent on loan last season to get the much-needed game time.
Mamelodi Sundowns have been dominant in the South African football scenes. They recently clinched their sixth successive league title.
In the just-ended season, Sundowns won 21 games in the league, drawn seven and lost two times in 30 games.
This publication understands that Sphesihle Mkhize, who was on loan at Chippa United last season is looking to secure a permanent move in Gauteng.
Mkhize played a crucial role in the league for Chippa in helping them survive relegation.
With the 24-year old enjoying healthy game-time with the Chilli Boys last season, indications are that the midfielder is looking to find a permanent club in Gauteng.
SIPHESIHLE MKHIZE AIMING FOR A PERMANENT MOVE IN GAUTENG
“Look Siphesihle Mkhize has played regular football in all the clubs he was on loan at,” his agent Ntobatsi Masegela told FARPost.
“So the fact that he’s a player who always play whenever he’s out on loan. It tells you a lot about his qualities as a player.
“Mkhize feels like he’s been out on loan enough now and he has proven himself. So he want to settle for a permanent move now.
“And i can confirm that there’s club’s already that have shown interest in the services of Mkhize. And his wish is to stay in Gauteng.
Meanwhile, Mkhize featured in 24 games for Chippa in all competitions under different coaches that went in and out of the club.
It remains to be seen whether Mkhize will stay with Sundowns in the next season under under Rhulani Mokwena.
