More players set to leave Marumo Gallants

Relegated DStv Premiership side Marumo Gallants are set for a squad overhaul with 16 players set to leave.

Gallants have already lost Celimpilo Ngema to AmaZulu FC while Lucky Mohomi has signed for Richards Bay FC.

Katlego Otladisa and Ranga Chivaviro are reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Soweto giants Orlando Pirates. Left-back Lebogang Mabotja has signed with Royal AM while Washington Arubi is headed to Sekhukhune United.

MORE MARUMO GALLANTS PLAYERS DEPART

This publication has it in good authority that the club has now decided to release more players to make way for new recruits.

A source has revealed to FARPost that the list of exits is led by former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Joseph Molangoane. Added to the list is striker Judas Moseamedi as well as defender Mpho Mvelase.

Mvelase together with striker Letsie Koapeng have attracted interest from Tanzanian giants Young Africans but nothing has materialised.

The other players who have reportedly been let go by the club are Abram Ngcobo, Ayanda Nkili, Maboke Matlakala, Mahlatse Makudubela. Pule Maraisane, Sibusiso Sibeko, Sibusiso Kumalo Sizwe Mdlinzo, Tshepo Gumede and Yidah Sven.

Gallants will participate in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in the upcoming season.

PLAYERS TO REVOLT OVER UNPAID BONUSES?

Meanwhile, this publication has it on good authority that the club could face a legal challenge from some of the players due to the much-publicised bonus strike.

According to FARPost’s informant, no player has been paid the bonus for reaching the semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup as agreed. This could force the players to take a legal route.

The club has also parted ways with their consultant Dylan Kerr who joined towards the end of the season. It has also not been revealed if head coach Raymond Mdaka will be continuing with his role.
