Pitso Mosimane finds new home
Just a few days after parting ways with Al Ahli Saudi, Pitso Mosimane has found a new home in the United Arab Emirates [UAE].
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach, Mosimane, has been officially unveiled as the new head coach of Al Wahda.
Al Wahda are the four-time UAE Pro League champions, who finished third in the last campaign.
THE AL WAHDA OFFICIAL STATEMENT
“Al Wahda announces the completion of contracting procedure with Mr Pitso Mosimane in order to technically lead the first team,” read the club’s statement.
“The club’s board of directors welcomed Mosimane to the home of the champions. Wishing him success in meeting the aspirations of the club’s leadership management and it’s fans.”
The highly-rated South African coach joins the UAE side after a successful season with Al Ahli where he spent eight months.
Within those eight months with the Saudi Arabian side, Mosimane helped the team to gain promotion the Saudi Pro League.
To add to that, the ex-SuperSport United mentor won the championship title with Al Ahli in the 1st Division League.
After all the success Mosimane had with Al Ahli, the two parties decided to part company. Despite Mosimane fulfilling the mandate to gain promotion.
PITSO MOSIMANE UP FOR NEW CHALLENGE
Two days ago, Mosimane made clear that he is looking forward to new opportunities. This was after he cut ties with the Saudi Arabian side.
“As we end our relationship with Al Ahli Saudi and look forward to new opportunities. I would like to express my utmost satisfaction for having achieved the difficult task. Promoting the team back to the Saudi Pro League,” said Mosimane in his official statement after his departure from Al Ahli.
Mosimane will be expected to guide the UAE side to the promised land when he takes over the coaching reigns.
