Sekhukhune United set to offload experienced goalkeeper

Sekhukhune United is set to offload one of their experienced goalkeepers ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

Sekhukhune finished the 2022/23 campaign on a high after making it to the Nedbank Cup final to qualify for CAF Confederations Cup. They also finished in the top eight in the league.

Babina Noko are going to participate in five competitions next season and they have started bringing in new faces to build a competive squad.

Sekhukhune have already signed, Yanga Baliso, Jamie Webber, Kgomotso Mosadi and they are lining up a swap deal for AmaZulu attacker Rally Bwalya in swap deal.

The Zambian international struggled for game time last season with Ali Sangare being the preferred choice between the sticks.

Nsabata’s struggles for game time could worsen with the arrival of Arubi and this publication understands that he will be offloaded.

“Expect a lot of movements in the Sekhukhune United camp during the off-season,” a source told FARPost.

“Players will go in and out of the team as they prepare for next season. The club is very ambitious and they want to compete especially in the CAF Confederations Cup.

“So Toaster Nsabata won’t be part of the team in the new season, especially after the arrival of Washington Arubi.”

Furthermore, Sekhukhune announced the arrival of yet another goalie Relando Leaner who was in the books of Maritzburg United. The Team of Choice was relegated to Motsepe Foundation Championship.
