Sundowns closing in on talented Gallants star

Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly closing in on the services of a talented and exciting Marumo Gallants winger.

Despite all the attention on striker Ranga Chivaviro due to the goals scored, the winger was one the most outstanding players for the relegated side, Gallants alongside Celimpilo Ngema.

Ngema has since signed for AmaZulu FC while Chivaviro is on his way to Kaizer Chiefs. In addition, Gallants have also lost several of their players at the end of last season.

Lucky Mohomi and Letsie Koapeng joined Richards Bay. Katlego Otladisa is on the verge of a move to Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates.

Gallants got relegated to the second-tier league after finishing at the foot of the Premiership table. They reached the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, where they lost Yanga SC.

FARPost has been informed that Lesiba Nku of Gallants could be set for a sensational move to DStv Premiership Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.

Nku was voted the best newcomer at the club’s end-of-the-season awards. This publication has gathered that the 27-year-old could join the Brazilians when they return for pre-season.

The two clubs have agreed on the transfer fee for the player and personal terms are also agreed.

LESIBA NKU SET FOR MAMELODI SUNDOWNS MOVE?

Prior to the end of last season, the former Polokwane City player was linked with a move to SuperSport United. There were reports that United had already made contact with Gallants and his representatives.

DStv Premiership clubs such as AmaZulu FC, Cape Town City, and Sekhukhune United were also reportedly keen on the player. Egyptian side Pyramids FC were also understood to have expressed their interest.

With a move to Chloorkop in the pipeline, Nku will leave the Motsepe Foundation Championship-bound club after only a few months. He joined the club from neighbours Polokwane City.

He spent three seasons at Rise and Shine, one in the Premiership and two in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Nku plays with both feet and has played as a left back, left winger and right winger at both Marumo and Polokwane City.
