Anthony Martial’s former teammate angling DStv Prem move

Anthony Martial’s former teammate in the Olympique Lyon developmental team and an Eswatini midfielder are trying their luck at Royal AM, FARPost has learnt.

Royal AM has been keeping their plans for the 2023/24 season close to the vest since the end of the previous season.

The Durban outfit ended last season on a controversial note when they cut ties with Ricardo Nascimento, Lantshene Phalane and Tshepo Rikhotso.

As a result the Royal AM management is working quitely to bring in a number of new faces as they prepare for next season.

WHO IS THE ANTHONY MARTIAL FORMER TEAMMATE

Earlier on, Royal AM were linked with the pair of Lebogang Mabotja and Cohen Stander. However nothing is yet to materialize.

And it has also emerged that Anthony Martial’s former teammate, Michel Nzongo Dialungana is training with them.

Michel Nzongo Dialungana has played in France, Luxemburg, Andorra and Belgium.

The 26-year-old who is comfortable as a right-back or defensive midfielder however mostly played in France’s lower tier leagues.

The Anthony Martial’s former teammate has been unattached since July 2022, according to transfermarkt.

Some of the clubs he played for include RM Hamm Benfica in Luxemburg, FV Venissieux. He also played for FC Lusitanos in Andorra, Royal Franc Borain and Saint Prieste.

It remains to be seen if Anthony Martial’s former teammate makes the grade at the Shauwn Mkhize owned club, Royal AM.

THE ESWATINI STAR ON ROYAL AM’S RADAR

However at this point it is the Eswatini midfielder Mxolisi Mkhonto who appears to be on course to sign for Royal AM.

“He dd well. Out of 30 trialists and all four foreigners were released. He made it and be shall train with the first team after COSAFA.

“If he tick the boxes. He shall get a contract. I am talking to the player as well. He says they gave him a program to follow so he keeps fit just incase he doesn’t go back to the national team,” a source told FARPost.

The 30-year-old midfielder has been in the books of Eswatini’s Green Mamba FC.

Mxolisi Mkhonto who has also been Green Mamba’s captain is confident of making the grade at Royal AM.

“Obviously getting deal is my top priority. However the results maybe the knowledge I will get will play a crucial role in my performance for my team going forward,”he said.
