Bafana COSAFA Cup fixtures, venues and kick-off times
Bafana Bafana are gearing up for another edition of the COSAFA Cup that will be staged in Durban from 5-16 July. Here are their fixtures, venues and kick-off times.
Jwaneng Galaxy head coach Morena Ramoreboli will be in charge of the side while he will be assisted by Raymond Mdaka.
Ramoreboli led Bafana to their fifth COSAFA Cup title in 2021 when he was standing in for Helman Mkhalele. The former African Warriors mentor will be aiming to reproduce 2021’s success in this year’s regional showpiece.
Three stadiums have been provided to host the tournament – King Zwelithini Stadium [Umlazi], Chartsworth Stadium [Chartsworth] and Princess Magogo Stadium [Kwa-Mashu].

The King Zwelithini will be the venue for the match-day one. SA’s Group A opponents Eswatini and Botswana will face off in the first match of the tournament at 3:00 pm.
Thereafter, Bafana will take on Namibia at 6:00 pm at the same venue. Ramoreboli’s troops will then welcome Botswana on Saturday, 8 July at the King Zwelithini at 3:00 pm.
In their last match of the group, they will then square off with Eswatini on Tuesday, 11 July at the Princess Magogo Stadium at 6:00 pm.
FREE ENTRY FOR FANS
Meanwhile, COSAFA has also confirmed that fans will have an opportunity to enter the venues for free.
“Tickets for the 2023 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Cup will once again be FREE, providing fans with the opportunity to watch top-level international football when the competition is staged in Durban from July 5-16,” reads COSAFA statement.
“FREE tickets for the games will be available at the match venues on match day on a first-come, first-served basis. They will be limited in order to ensure the safety of spectators.
“Past years have seen excellent crowds in Durban as fans rally behind the regional showpiece tournament which has become a hugely popular fixture on the football calendar.”
