Tshepo ‘Skhwama’ Matete joins Botswana side
Tshepo ‘Skhwama sama Tariyana’ Matete has joined Botswana side Township Rollers.
The dribbling wizard joins Rollers from DStv Premiership outfit Chippa United, where he only made one appearance last season.

“The Gucci Bag is back Home. Township Rollers is pleased to announce the signing of South African winger Tshepo Matete,” read the club’s statement.
“Join us in welcoming the skillful former Baroka FC and Chippa United star to the Blues.”
Rollers confirmed the acquisition of Matete on Wednesday night. This will be his second stint at the Botswana Premier League side.
‘Skhwama sama Tariyana’, as he is popularly known within the football circles will be hoping to revive his football career after cutting ties with the Chilli Boys at his new team.
The 31-year-old playmaker previously represented the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Baroka FC, University of Pretoria, Eswatini side Mbabane Highlanders and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila [TTM].
Matete is one player who is famous for showboating skills at Kasi festive tournaments.
His extensive experience of the beautiful game will be a significant key to the Rollers squad and help the club to challenge for major trophies in the Botswana top flight.
TSHEPO MATETE THIRD PLAYER TO JOIN TOWNSHIP ROLLERS FROM SA
Matete is the third player to join Rollers from South Africa after the club completed the signings of former Orlando Pirates players Thabo Rakhale and Siphamandla Sangweni.
To put a cherry on top, the talented winger adds a number of South African players plying their trade in Botswana. He also joins the likes of ex-Bucs players Rooi Mahamutsa and Sifiso Myeni.
Rollers eagerly anticipate Matete’s impact on the field of play. And optimistic that the star player will add the much-needed value to team.
