Kaizer Chiefs announce latest signing

PSL giants Kaizer Chiefs have announced Royal AM winger Tebogo Potsane as their latest signing.

Potsane has been with the KZN side for the past two seasons. He was part of the players that moved with the club from now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic. Amakhosi announced the 29-year-old on a three-year deal on Saturday.

“Kaizer Chiefs’ march towards a new era of success gathered further momentum on Saturday with the signing of Tebogo Potsane, who was with Royal AM last season,” the club announced.

“Amakhosi have secured the 29-year-old right winger on a three-year contract, making him the seventh new arrival at Naturena in a busy transfer window. The Club management and technical staff look to assemble a team that can return the Glamour Boys to their rightful place at the top of the domestic football tree.”

Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr days they will be banking on the left-footed players’ experience.

“We believe Tebogo will prove to be a valuable complement to the squad,” Motaung Jr told the club’s website.

‘He brings his skill and craft to us, as well as a wealth of experience that our younger players can learn and benefit from. We are happy to welcome him into the Kaizer Chiefs Family.”

The former Free State Stars player featured 18 times in the DStv Premiership for Royal AM last season. He also had three assists.

Amakhosi will be hoping Potsane adds depth to the squad under new coach Molefi Ntseki. Chiefs have been one of the busiest clubs in the current transfer window period.

The other players that have been previously announced are Thathayoane Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, Pule Mmodi and Ranga Chivaviro.

The club also revealed that a new offer has been tabled for out-of-contract Khama Billiat. But the club says the Zimbabwean international is yet to respond to the offer.
