Battle lines are drawn between Pule Mmodi and former agent
The battle lines have been drawn between Kaizer Chiefs’ new signing Pule Mmodi and his former agent Solomon Seobe of SR Sport Management.
This comes after Mmodi left Seobe as the winger felt like the agent was the stumbling block to sealing the move to the DStv Premiership side Chiefs.
The 30-year-old was officially unveiled by the Soweto giants last Monday following his departure from Golden Arrows. He penned a three-year deal with Amakhosi and will don jersey number 13.
However, his agent has come forward to make it clear that he seeks revenge. Seobe insists that he wants to teach Mmodi a hard lesson.
The agent revealed that he found out that the player was taking him for a fool, as Mmodi always had “another manager accompanying him in discussions with Chiefs.”
SOLOMON SEOBE: ‘I WANT TO TEACH HIM A HARD LESSON’
Seobe noted that he is waiting to get the contract Mmodi signed with Chiefs and once it gets to his table, he will “heading straight to court.”
“He did this as my contract with him was about to end on Sunday [last week],” said Seobe as quoted by Isolezwe.
“I also found out that he was taking me for a fool, I heard that he always had another manager accompanying him in discussions with Chiefs.
“He made the wrong move, he was supposed to sign with Chiefs after my contract with him ended. I am still waiting to receive the contract he signed with Chiefs.
“Once it gets to my hands, I will head straight to court. Another important thing is to see how much they agreed on in the contract.”
Seobe continued: “I want to teach him a hard lesson, I want to make an example out of him so that other players can think twice before going behind their managers’ backs to sign contracts.
“I want my share of the money, I will not let him off the hook.”
THE BATTLE IS BETWEEN MMODI AND THE AGENT
The agent went on to state that the matter does not involve Chiefs. However, it’s a battle between him and the player.
“This matter does not involve Chiefs, it’s between Mmodi and I. We were together all the time, even during his days at Uthongathi until he went to Golden Arrows,” Seobe added.
“But that’s money for you, that’s what it does. You forget that this is life.”
