A Mamelodi Sundowns duo is waiting for the club’s decision as offers for their services keep flooding in.
Masandawana have been active in the transfer market as they prepare for the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season. The Brazilians signed Lesiba Nku, Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Junior Mendieta.
In addition, Sundowns released Andile Jali, Surprise Ralani, Lesedi Kapinga, and Haashim Domingo who has joined Raja Casablanca.
With Sundowns trimming their squad for the upcoming season, they have a decision to make on two midfielders who were out on loan last season.
SUNDOWNS DUO GRANT MARGEMAN AND SPHESIHLE MKHIZE AWAIT CLEARANCES FROM THE CLUB
Grant Margeman and Siphesihle Mkhize are the midfielders whom Sundowns have to give the greenlight to secure permanent moves away from the club.
Margeman spent the 2022/23 season on loan with rivals SuperSport United while Mkhize turned out for Chippa United.
This publication understands that offers have been flying in for the midfield duo as they are not on the plans of head coach Rulani Mokwena for next season.
Margeman, who has been training separately with players who were sent out on loan last season, has offers from Stellenbosch FC and SuperSport United.
On the other hand, Mkhize was close to completing a switch to Cape Town Spurs before the move collapsed. ‘Busquets’ as he’s affectionately known is on the radar of Sekhukhune United who already tabled a lucrative offer.
“We have to respect Mamelodi Sundowns because, at the end of the day, they have the final say,” Ntobatsi Masegela who’s the agent of both players told FARPost.
“Look Mkhize and Margeman did exceptionally well for their clubs on loan last season and obviously we have offers for the players. All they are waiting for is for Sundowns to give them the go-ahead to move away from the club.
“So these deals have to be permanent moves because these players are not getting any younger they want to find stable home.
“No player wants to go in loan every season and we want to grant players their wishes of securing stable homes,” he added.
