“Leaving Sekhukhune United came as a surprise to me because I was looking forward to helping the team compete,” Kabwe told FARPost.

“Since I came to South Africa I’ve never played in the MTN8 so I was looking forward to that. Also I never played in the Cup final before so it was great to be part of the team that made it to the final.

“So my contract with Sekhukhune was expiring in June 30 and they had an option to renew but they didn’t.

“We have been talking about this option and after the league ended we were suppose to talk about the way forward but it never happens.

“From my side I never thought my time at Sekhukhune would come to an end now but this is football and anything is possible.” he added.
