Five DStv Premiership teams with tops signings so far
DStv Premiership teams have been busy on the transfer market bolstering their squads after the PSL transfer window opened on 1 July.
There have been big announcements, while on the other hand, there have been surprises as expected.
FARPost writer Otis Ntshangase looks at DStv Premiership teams with top signings so far.
KAIZER CHIEFS
Amakhosi have been one of the busiest sides of the transfer market. So far, they have made six signings as they continue with their rebuilding excercise.
The Soweto giants have signed Thatayoane Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United, free agent Pule Mmodi and TS Galaxy’s Given Msimango.
To add, they signed Mduduzi Mdantsane from Cape Town City, Ranga Chivaviro from Gallants and Edson Daniel Castillo Garcia from Monagas SC. Tebogo Potsane also joined them from Royal AM.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS
Masandawana have only made three signings so far as they continue reinforcing their squad.
The Tshwane giants have acquired the services of Lesiba Nku from relegated Marumo Gallants, Junior Mendieta from Stellenbosch FC and Lucas Ribeiro Costa from Belgian outfit SK Beveren.
CHIPPA UNITED
The Chilli Boys have been busy in the transfer market. Chippa are aiming to improve from their last unsatisfactory campaign where they finished 14th.
The Gqeberha outfit have signed three former Orlando Pirates players; the trio of Craig Martin, Augustine Mulenga and Luvuyo Memela.
In addition, they’ve roped in Menzi Ndwandwe from Motsepe Foundation Championship side All Stars FC.
SUPERSPORT UNITED
Matsatsantsa, who will be participating in the CAF Confederation Cup next season after their third-place finish on the log, have completed three signings so far.
The trio is namely Ronaldo Pfumbidzai from Chippa United, Phathutshedzo Nange from Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates’ Siphesihle Ndlovu.
ORLANDO PIRATES
The Sea Robbers added four new faces to their squad as they continue their pursuit of challenging Sundowns for the league title.
The Bucs have brought in Sephelo Baloni from Cape Town All Stars, Katlego Otladisa from Marumo Gallants and TS Galaxy’s Melusi Buthelezi.
Patrick Maswanganyi from SuperSport United came as a surprise as nobody saw the move happening.
