Moroka Swallows announce new technical sponsor
Moroka Swallows have announced a new technical sponsor ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign which starts early August.
The club chairman David Mogashoa have been making drastic and positive changes in the past few weeks.
Mogashoa once stated that he’s taking the club to a different direction. Firstly, it was the appointment of Steve Komphela as the head coach replacing Musa Nyatama.
Then they went on to re-instate their original well-known name “Moroka Swallows”. The Birds also bolstered their squad with new players with Andile Jali headlining the new signings.

“The relationship between DRIP and Moroka Swallows in this era is quite a significant one,” said Swallows on their statement
“DRIP is a lifestyle that is now confidently spreading it’s wings and tapping into the world of sports, whereas Swallows is going back to it’s roots by adopting it’s original name “Moroka Swallows” and in the process of acquiring a new coach and new team players.
“Both brands are going through a “rebirth” and as a result this partnership was a no brainer. It is the merging of two brands and the beginning of a great story Local Football and Sportswear Brands.”
MOROKA SWALLOWS’ MANDATE AHEAD OF 2023/24 SEASON
Last season, the Dube Birds finished the season on a high note. They won their four last league games to seal a spot in the top eight competition for next season [MTN8].
New mentor Komphela has already stated that he wants to make the club a giant in the PSL again.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns coach is also aiming on improving the team’s performance from last season’s position [eighth] as he’s aiming higher.
