Moseamedi’s contract details with Tunisian side EGS Gafsa revealed 

The contract details of the former Marumo Gallants striker Judas Moseamedi to the Tunisian side El Gawafel Sportives de Gafsa have been revealed.

This comes after the player touched down in Tunisia on Wednesday evening. He was officially unveiled by the club on Thursday afternoon. 

The Kaizer Chiefs slayer, Moseamedi, has penned a two-year deal with the Tunisian club. 

The deal will see him stay at the club until 2025.

Gafsa competes in the Tunisian Ligue Professionalle 1, and Moseamedi becomes the first South African footballer to play in Tunisia.

GAFSA’S OFFICIAL STATEMENT 

“South Africa’s international striker Judas Moseamedi officially joins the El Gawafel Sportives de Gafsa until 2025,” read the club’s statement. 

Moseamedi joins Gafsa as a free agent after parting ways with Bahlabane ba Ntwa.

The North African side eagerly anticipate Moseamedi’s impact on the field of play,. And they are very optimistic that the star player will score important goals for them.

Moseamedi, on the other hand, will be hoping to prove his doubters wrong as he plans to revive his football career and get his mojo back.

Last season, the 29-year-old only managed to make seven appearances for Marumo. 

Moseamedi was not the only player who was released by Marumo following their relegation. The side also let go of Ranga Chivaviro [Kaizer Chiefs], Katlego Otladisa [Orlando Pirates], Ismael Toure [Stellenbosch] and Lesiba Nku [Mamelodi Sundowns].

To add to that, Limpopo club also cut ties with; Abram Ngcobo, Ayanda Nkili, Lehlohonolo Nonyane, Lebogang Mabotja, Maboke Matlakala, Mahlatse Makudubela, Mpho Mvelase, Joseph Molangoane, Pule Maraisane, Sibusiso Sibeko, Sibusiso Kumalo, Sizwe Mdlinzo, Sven Yidah, to mention a few. 

Moseamedi also represented teams such as Black Aces, Cape Town City, Maritzburg United, Free State Stars and Stellenbosch FC. 

The well-travelled goalscorer will be expected to add the much-needed value to his new side given his extensive experience of the beautiful game.
