Cunningmore B United secure ABC Motsepe League status
Cunningmore B United have secured an ABC Motsepe League status ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Cunningmore has bought the status Passion FC in the Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League.
With the club having bought Passion’s status, this means Cunningmore will be participating in ABC Motsepe League in the next term and will fight their way to gain promotion to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The side was competing in the SAFA Mpumalanga Regional League last campaign.
Last season, Passion finished sixth in Stream A of the provincial Motsepe League with 18 points from 16 outings.
CUNNINGMORE B UNITED OFFICIAL STATEMENT
“We can confirm that we have bought the ABC Motsepe League Status of Passion Football Club.
“This means we’ll play ABC Motsepe League 2023/24 season and continue to do our best,” read the club’s statement.
“Our team played well the whole season and this gives all players, technical team, management and sponsorship to continue doing great in the next coming years.
“Bushbuckridge, Enhlanzeni and the whole Mpumalanga this is for you. Supporters showed their love of football since day one and now we say this is for you.
“To the Chairman of the team Mr Khoza, thank you. More updates coming soon”
Cunningmore further stated they know where to fix ahead of the new season and players are gaining form to get more strength and a winning mentality.
Meanwhile, Passion chairman added that: “Maybe it’s time we try at National Level, sadly Carolina cannot be our home then.”
The chairman’s statement has since raised many eyebrows, leaving many people thinking that the team might buy a status in the SA second tier before the new season commences.
As the new season looms large, all will be revealed as Passion FC fans continue to rally behind their side.
