Makhubela training with another PSL side after Arrows failed move

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Ntsako Makhubela is training with another PSL side after the permanent move to Golden Arrows failed.

The attacking midfielder parted ways with the Buccaneers at the end of the season. However, he had spent the last six months of the last season at Arrows.

He was then expected to make a permanent move back to Durban after Abafana Bes’thende expressed their interest in keeping him. As previously reported by this website, the KZN outfit had already made an offer to Makhubela.

He was also keen to make a return to Arrows. But it is understood he wanted more than what they put on the table.

As first reported by Soccer Laduma, the 29-year-old is training with Moroka Swallows. However, it’s still uncertain whether he has sealed the deal with the Soweto outfit.

Makhubela has already worked with the Dube Birds’ newly-appointed head coach Steve Komphela during his first stint at Arrows. Swallows’ move would see him also reuniting with Lindokuhle Mtshali, who was his midfield partner at Arrows.

Meanwhile, Swallows have already made some big reinforcements as they aim to come back stronger. The Birds shocked many in the SA football circles when they won Andile Jali’s race.

‘Mhlekazi’ was on the radar of several teams in the DStv Premiership. Pirates were at some point on the pole position to land his signature.

Swallows have also secured the services of the winger Dumisani Zuma after he left AmaZulu FC. Other signings are Keenan Phillips, Lantshene Phalane, Victor Bakah, Daweron Van Rhyn and Tshanini Falakhe.

They have also been linked with Tshegofatso Mabasa, who’s returned to Pirates from loan. It’s believed they also want to sign the striker on a loan deal.
