Cape Town City bolster squad with Angolan striker

Cape Town City FC have bolstered their squad as the 2023/24 PSL season looms large with the acquisition of Angolan striker Jó Paciência.

The Citizens confirmed the news on Wednesday, 26 July 2023. Paciência becomes the club’s second signing for this transfer window period. Three days ago, the side completed the services of former TS Galaxy midfielder Tshegofatso Nyama.

The 27-year-old footballer joins the Cape club on a permanent deal from GD Interclube of Angola.

In his four-season stay at his former club, Paciência found the back of the net on 26 occasions in 67 league matches.

City eagerly anticipate the Angolan striker’s impact on the field of play and are optimistic that the talented forward will score some important goals to lead the club to the promised land.
