Sead Ramovic’s only wish for Europe-bound Aphelele Teto

TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has revealed his only wish for the former club’s starlet Aphelele Teto who is set to ply his trade in Europe.

The academy graduate parted ways with The Rockets a few weeks back to join Scottish side Livingston FC.

Teto was one of the players who left the club, joining the likes of Given Msimango, who went to Kaizer Chiefs, Melusi Buthelezi, who joined Orlando Pirates and Tshegofatso Nyama, who linked with Cape Town City FC.

Last season the SA junior national was promoted to the Galaxy senior team from the reserve side. However, he was sent back to the DStv Diski Challenge team by Ramovic despite impressing and showing signs of improving.

The 20-year-old had made 12 league appearances and provided two assists in the process.

The German coach faced huge criticism for this action. However, he had his reasons, claiming the talented midfielder was not giving his all at training and during matches.

WHAT SEAD RAMOVIC WISHES FOR APHELELE TETO

According to the mentor, Teto can become a great player in the Scottish Premiership if his attitude is right.

“When Livingstone FC came up and asked me about [Aphelele] Teto, I said he’s a great player,” said Ramovic.

“Hopefully, he can change his attitude there. If he has a great attitude, I’m sure he can become one of the great players there; that’s what I wish.

“I got critics why I sent him down to the DDC team. People that work with me will understand because he’s a fantastic player. But the attitude was not on the spot where it should be.”

Teto is now in Scotland in camp with the rest of the team, preparing for the upcoming 2023/24 season. Livingston’s first match of the new season will be against Aberdeen FC on Saturday, 5 August.
