Thamsanqa Gabuza opens up on Galaxy move

Newly signed TS Galaxy striker Thamsanqa Gabuza has opened up on his move to the club after parting ways with SuperSport United.

The former Orlando Pirates spent the past four seasons at Matsatsantsa, where he featured in over 117 matches and scored 22 goals.

The 36-year-old has previously been linked with moves to AmaZulu FC, Stellenbosch, as well as Royal AM. The ex-Bafana Bafana striker was unveiled by ‘The Rockets’ in KwaMhlanga on Sunday.

“It’s part of football [that I find myself at Galaxy],” Gabuza told FARPost.

“In everything that has happened, I don’t know what to say, but I am happy to be part of the Galaxy family, and as you can see, I am here. I am a player of TS Galaxy now,” he said.

“I am still a new player here, so it’s one step at a time. My aim obviously is just to win with the club. For me, it’s just about doing the normal thing, which is hard work. Without hard work, you can’t achieve anything.

Gabuza did not want to dwell much on his departure from SuperSport except to say it’s part of life.

“No, I am not [disappointed on parting ways with SuperSport]. As you can see now, I am in another team. I am happy here, and it’s part of life.”

TS GALAXY ADDS IVORIAN STRIKER

Galaxy have also secured the services of Ivory Coast striker Latif Bamba. The 25-year-old was signed by Ivory Coast giants ASEC Mimosas.

According to the transfer Market records, he has also played for Racing Club Abidjan as well as FC San Pedro, all in his native country.

As reported by FARPost, Galaxy are also set to lose striker Junior Traoré. Traoré, also from Ivory Coast, has reportedly attracted interest from some European clubs. This follows a decent season where he scored seven goals for The Rockets.
