Latest update on AmaZulu FC ins and outs

AmaZulu FC are expected to make an announcement on their ins and outs, including a possible unveiling of a former Orlando Pirates defender.

Usuthu president Sandile Zungu predicted 11 departures at the end of the previous season. At the time, the club announced their first departure Lehlohonolo Majoro who’s yet to find a new home.

They have also parted ways with Dumisani Zuma, who signed with Moroka Swallows last week. On the other hand, Keagan Buchanan signed for Cape Town Spurs, who secured promotion to the top-flight.

Further, Samkelo Mgwazela and Thabo Qalinge didn’t return from the off-season. And as previously reported by this website, Mgwazela was close to joining TS Galaxy.

However, his move took a twist in the end. He then trained with SuperSport United when they were in Durban for the pre-season camp.

With just a few days left before the 2023/24 campaign gets underway, the Durban-based club is set to announce exits and unveil new signings.

FARPost has learnt that the midfielder Mswati Mavuso will be among the players heading out of the club. Another player facing the axe is the winger Guily Manziba, who joined in the middle of the last season.

Meanwhile, the future of Siphesihle Maduna is still uncertain, even though he had a full pre-season with the club. And as previously reported by this publication, AmaZulu have been contemplating loaning out Thendo Mukumela.

USUTHU IN THE MARKET

Pablo Franco Martin’s side has already secured the signatures of Celimpilo Ngema, Mondli Mbanjwa, Mfanafuthi Mkhize, Victor Letsoalo and Rowan Human.

Before the end of this week, they might also unveil Wayde Jooste, Michel Espinosa and Ilias Hassani, who have been under assessment during this pre-season.

Usuthu have also welcomed back Tshepang Moremi and Jean-Noel Amonome, who spent last season on loan.
