‘Kaizer Chiefs are a different beast’- Molefi Ntseki

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has explained why he believes that his side is a different beast after defeating AmaZulu FC on Saturday night.

The Soweto giants beat AmaZulu 3-0 at FNB to register their first victory of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

Chiefs were quick off the mark against Usuthu, which saw them score a goal as early as the fifth minute after Pule Mmodi opened his account for the club.

Mmodi completed his brace in the second half, while Edson Gastillo netted the third goal to hand Amakhosi a well-deserved victory.

Chiefs bounced back from the back-to-back defeats they suffered against Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy in the league.

Meanwhile, Ntseki praised the contribution of Mmodi but insisted that Chiefs are a different beast; hence, some of the players struggle at the club.

“I think we brought Pule Mmodi with a very clear understanding that he’s a quality player,” said Ntseki.

“We always say this when it comes to players coming from other teams: Kaizer Chiefs is a different beast.

“The most important thing is for us to settle, and with him having scored two goals, I think it will help him.

“Also, if you look at [Tebogo] Potsane assisting in the two goals, it settles our front three in terms of the contribution they had to make to the team.

“We’ve been solid in defence and also in the midfield, but we needed more of aggression in the last third.

“I think Pule Mmodi raised up his hand, and everything fell into place, then he managed to score the goals.

“To all the players, this is a moral booster for them going forward. Yes, we can score goals, which is very important.”
