‘One day I will win the league’: Sead Ramovic
TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic has divulged the lifelong ambition he wishes to fulfil as a coach in “South Africa or somewhere else”.
The German tactician was appointed to steer the Rockets vessel in 2021 on a three-year deal. And in 2022, he earned a contract extension after impressing in his first season at the club.
His current contract will expire at the end of the 2024/25 DStv Premiership campaign. Ramovic has been showered with praise, having kept his side steady despite losing some important names during this transfer window.
Last week, his troops made headlines after they sealed a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs. However, they dropped the ball this past weekend, losing 1-0 to Royal AM on the road.
Speaking to the media after the match, Ramovic said he wanted to beat Thwihli Thwahla and also win the upcoming games to chase the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
He also stated that he believes he will hoist the league title one day. However, he revealed that their target “for now” is the top eight.
SEAD RAMOVIC – ‘ONE DAY, I WILL WIN THE LEAGUE’
“Believe me, it’s so painful right now inside me because my goal was to win now [against Royal AM] and the next game to chase them [Sundowns] up,” said Ramovic.
“I want to win; I want to chase because I know I will give everything, and the day will come with God’s will only. I want, and I will win…One day, I will win the league.
“I will work hard; this is my main goal, but right now, we have to be realistic. It’s a top-eight spot, if we reach this, it will be the same as winning the league right now.
“Because it’s a new club, everything is new. But my main task, my main goal, the dream for every coach, is to win the league. So, we have to fight, and I know it’s the hard work, patience, and knowledge of my past as a player.
“One day, I will win the league, only if God gives me health and if I’m still alive, of course. But with God’s will, I will. When this will be? I don’t know, but I will try my best [to win it] in South Africa or somewhere else.”
