HOW LONG TALBERT SHUMBA WILL STAY AT TRIANGLE
The former Casric Stars goalkeeper signed a four-month contract with Triangle, which sees him staying at the club until the Zimbabwean season ends.
Talbert Shumba, the 33-year-old goalkeeper joins Triangle United who have struggled to carve out consistent results this season.
As it stands, the Shuga boys have managed to garner four wins, 12 draws and six defeats after 22 matches.
They are two places above the relegation zone with 24 points on their tally.
Initially, Shumba was on Marumo Gallants’ radar but no agreement was reached with the Motsepe Foundation Championship club.
Black Leopards were also interested in his services. Shumba broke into the PSL in 2021 when he was signed by Free State Stars.
That was after a two-year stint in the books of Zambian Super League giants Nkana FC.
An airforce soldier by profession, Shumba excelled at Free State to earn the team’s captaincy.
And he was part of the players that relocated to Mpumalanga when businessman Bucks Mthombeni purchased the Free State Stars’ franchise.
