Orbit College continues dream start in the Motsepe Foundation Championship
Orbit College continued their dream start in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with a 2-0 victory against Black Leopards on Sunday.
The North West-based outfit holds a 100% win record in the Championship after winning all their opening three league games.
Orbit College was promoted to the National First Division at the start of the 2023/24 season from the ABC Motsepe League. They were promoted alongside Upington City FC.
Elsewhere, Maritzburg United walked away with an impressive 2-0 win over Casric Stars at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Friday.
The Team of Choice were relegated from the DStv Premiership after a poor run of form last season.
Maritzburg have won two games in the NFD and lost once after three games played. They accumulated seven points thus far.
BAROKA FC REMAIN WINLESS IN THE MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP
Meanwhile, Baroka FC went down to a 1-0 defeat against JDR Stars at Shoshanguve Gaint Stadium on Saturday.
Bakgakga remain winless in the second-tier league after losing two games and drawing one in their three opening league games.
The Limpopo-based side suffered relegation to the Motsepe Foundation at the end of the 2021/22 season.
In contrast, another Limpopo outfit Magesi brushed aside NB La Masia with a 1-0 win at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.
Magesi won two of their games in the league while drawing one and they remain unbeaten in the new season.
In addition, the University of Pretoria (AmaTuks) bounced back to winning ways and defeated Milford FC 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
