Stellenbosch FC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Moroka Swallows in a DStv Premiership clash at Danie Craven Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The visitors opened their account as early as two minutes into the showdown, courtesy of Ntsako Makhubela.
After the Swallows opener, Stellies struggled to create any clear chances as Maswaiswai remained disciplined.
As the half progressed, the contest began to settle into a slower rhythm due to rainy weather conditions.
However, it was the Steve Komphela-coached side who redeemed themselves threatening more.
Despite a dominant display towards the half-time break, the Winelands club were unable to find an equaliser against the resilient Soweto giants.

In the second stanza, Steve Barker’s men started piling pressure on Swallows – hoping to level matters.

RED CARD FOR ISMAEL TOURE
