Latest on Keletso Makgalwa’s future at Sundowns

Keletso Makgalwa’s agent, Ntobatsi Masegela of Footballerz Sports Marketing, has provided an update on his client’s future at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Makgalwa’s future at Sundowns remains uncertain after he came back from a loan spell at All Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The skillful attacker was sent out on a season-long loan to TS Galaxy at the start of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership. He parted ways with Gaxaly in December 2022 before the conclusion of his loan spell.

Makgalwa went on to spend the second round of last season in the second tier where he made 13 appearances for All Stars and scored two goals.

The 26-year-old winger returned to Sundowns in the off-season where he has been training with the club’s second team.

AGENT REVEALS PLANS TO GET KELETSO MAKGALWA A PERMANENT MOVE

He’s evidently not in the plans of Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena and his agent Masegela revealed plans to get Makgalwa a permanent move away from Sundowns.

“We need to find a favourable solution for every party that’s concerned. So we need to look at Makgalwa’s future and the club’s plans moving forward,” Masegela told FARPost.

“So we are currently having those kinds of discussions, the club also knows that we must have a proper way of fast-tracking the move because the transfer window is closing on September 22.

“Also Makgalwa is 26 years old, so we can’t be speaking of loan moves at this stage of his career, it’s either he’s going be playing for Sundowns or going where he’ll play permanently.

“Keletso is a top player, everyone knows what he has done, what he has won. He’s also doing his own special training where he trains three times a day.

The agent added: “So it shows you the sort of hunger the player has and how much he wants to compete and maybe have an entry into Bafana Bafana. You’ll never know this is football, he’s hungry.

“He’s one of those players who want to get an opportunity to start playing football again and remind South Africa what he can do.

“Without mentioning any names and in respect of Mamelodi Sundowns, there are teams that have shown interest in Keletso and we hope all goes well sooner rather than later.”

Other players whose futures at Sundowns remain uncertain are Gift Motupa, Gaston Sirino, and Katlego Mohamme.
