3 coaches linked with Milford FC job

Following the sacking of Asanda Mvalo, here are the coaches that have been linked with Milford FC coaching job.

Mvalo was axed at the beginning of this week after a run of poor results, the club announced on Monday.

Milford are competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship for the first time this season having purchased the status of Uthongathi FC

However, they didn’t start well as they lost all their opening four games. Moreover, they haven’t scored a single goal in the process.

Mvalo, who has left, was spearheading the side in the ABC Motsepe League. Under his guidance, they finished as winners of Stream A.

However, they lost to Umsinga United in the Provincial Playoffs, failing to secure a spot in the 2023 ABC Motsepe National Playoffs.

The club is expected to make an announcement soon of the next coach to take the reins.

Former interim coach of Marumo Gallants Mpho Maleka

Mpho Maleka

The former Marumo Gallants coach is one of the names that are said to have been put into consideration by the Richards Bay-based club. The former striker is still in search of a new home after parting ways with Gallants in 2022.

As previously reported by FARPost, the Zambian side Forest Rangers are also interested in the Mankweng-born tactician. Meanwhile, three unknown teams from Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Namibia are also interested in his services.

Maleka recently completed his CAF B Licence in Zambia as he continues to upgrade his badges.

Simo Dladla

The club is said to have also expressed its interest in the current Maritzburg United assistant coach. Dladla is said to be committed to the project in the Pietermaritzburg. However, he cannot be ruled out if Milford does enough to convince him to switch to Richards Bay.
