‘Everywhere I go I deliver’: Lehlohonolo Seema
Having been appointed to guide Polokwane City at the start of the season, Lehlohonolo Seema has brought his previous spells to the fore to show he’s proven enough that he is a capable coach.
Rise and Shine have had a promising start under the leadership of the Lesotho-born tactician. They sit fifth on the DStv Premiership log standings with 13 points after eight games.
The Limpopo outfit has collected four wins, one draw and three defeats.
Seema was roped in to work alongside Duncan Lechesa and Phuti Mohafe, who led the club to the promotion.
The 43-year-old coach is grateful for the management’s backing and trust. He believes he has what it takes to fulfill the club’s expectations as he has proven himself during three spells with Chippa United and one with Golden Arrows.
However, Seema has refused to take credit alone for City’s good start. He stated it hasn’t been a solo show but a collective effort.
LEHLOHONOLO SEEMA SAYS HE HAS PROVEN HIMSELF AT CHIPPA UNITED AND GOLDEN ARROWS
“Everywhere I go I deliver, I didn’t leave Golden Arrows in the relegation, saved Chippa three times,” said Seema in a press conference after their match against Richards Bay FC on Wednesday.
“If they call you, it means they believe in you and if you have to focus on your job. Focus on being a glue to these players and helping them.
“Football, whether you’re doing good, we have seen there are coaches that are gone even when they are doing well. As long as God has mercy on you, faith on you and gives you the job. Continue to work and you work hard, God will do the rest.
“I’m going to say ‘No I’m a top coach I do that’. It’s a collective effort, I know there are people who are behind me that we are working with at Polokwane City and the support there from the chairman.”
