Thabo Mnyamane resurfaces at PSL club
Former SuperSport United midfielder Thabo Mnyamane has resurfaced at a PSL club as he continues his search for the next destination.
Mnyamane endured a frustrating spell on the sidelines after parting ways with Marumo Gallants at the end of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season. The left-footed attacker spent the whole of last season as a free agent.
The 31-year-old attacker, who has also been troubled by injuries, made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and making our assists in his two seasons at Gallants.
Before joining Bahlabane Ba Ntwa, Mnyamane turned out for SuperSport where he won Nedbank Cup and MTN8 silverware.
During his four seasons stay at Matsatsantsa, the former Bafana Bafana international made 74 appearances overall and scored 21 goals while chipping in with nine assists.
THABO MNYAMANE TRAINING WITH AMATUKS
With Mnyamane working tirelessly to return to competitive football, he’s training with Motsepe Foundation Championship side University of Pretoria.
“Thabo Mnyamane has been training with AmaTuks and he’s working very hard on his fitness,” a source told FARPost.
“So Mnyamane has a very good relationship with AmaTuks and he’s their former player, that’s why he’s training with the team.
“At this moment, the team isn’t looking to sign him because he just requested to train and keep fit unless something drastic happens in the coming days.
Another player who has been training with the Tlisane Motaung-coached team is the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Harold Majadibodu.
The right-back spent the 2022/23 campaign at Richards Bay FC after signing from AmaTuks on a two-year deal. He left Richards Bay at the end of the last season after struggling for game time.
“Majadibodu is also one of the players training with AmaTuks and just like with Mnyamane, he’s just keeping fit. So let’s wait and see what will happen in the next coming days.”
