Free State ABC Motsepe League side appoints ex-Chiefs defender
Free State ABC Motsepe League outfit, Dikgosi FC have confirmed the appointment of a former Kaizer Chiefs defender as their assistant coach.
The Fouriesburg-based club recently bought the status of Clever Boys FC, a club that also participated in the third-tier division.
With Dikgosi yet to kick off its 2023/24 campaign, they have reinforced their technical team with yet another experienced coach, who will work alongside the club’s head coach James Madidilane.
Dikgosi have secured the services of Mokete Tsotetsi. The former Amakhosi defender will serve as an assistant coach to Madidilane.
Tsotetsi has been involved in the lower division since his retirement. He coached the now-defunct Maccabi FC [Motsepe Foundation league] and Passion FC. And just recently, he was released from his duties by the Limpopo ABC Motsepe League outfit, the Dolphins FC after joining in September 2023.
He left the club just a few weeks before the league commenced.

The club’s Director Enerst Mokoena has confirmed the appointment of Tsotetsi, along with the club’s mandate ahead of the new season.
“Indeed, we have appointed coach Mokete Tsotetsi as our assistant coach. He will assist head coach James Madidilane. His experience will help the team, knowing that he coached Maccabi Fc [now-defunct], Passion and the Dolphins FC previously,” Mokoena told FARPost.
CONTRACT DEAL AND MANDATE GIVEN TO THE COACH REVEALED
The team’s director has revealed the contract deals for Tsotetsi and what they hope to achieve with the appointment of the coach.
“We might look as a small team in the eyes of others, however, we strive for the championship. Our coaches [including Tsotetsi] are sitting on a one-year contract.
“They have a season mandate to win the championship and get us to NFD [ Motsepe Foundation League]. So, the coaches bring a lot of experience that will help us as a team,” Mokoena added.
Dikgosi will kick off their campaign in the Free State stream A on Sunday,22 October 2023, against Super Eagles FC at Mashaeng stadium.
