“I think we always going to every game to win knowing that it’s a cup game. It’s important for us to finish everything in 90 minutes and try our level best to put the team on the next round,” Maboe said.

“We’ve got a very tight schedule and I think when you sign up for such a big club [Sundowns] you have to be ready at all times.

“Whenever the coach needs you, you just have to perform and help the team. I think everyone is ready to help the team and put the team in the next round.

“I think the likes of [Mlungisi] Mbunjana, [Samir] Nurkovic. We know he’s good with hold-up play and Mbunjana helps them tick a lot.

“The likes of [Lindokuhle] Mbatha as well, so we’ve got quite a few players that we know are good.”
