Keletso Makgalwa pens emotional farewell message to Sundowns

Newly signed Upington City FC midfielder Keletso Makgalwa has penned an emotional message to his former side Mamelodi Sundowns following his move to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The talented midfielder completed his move to the Northern Cape-based side on Friday after parting ways with Sundowns.

Makgalwa rose through the junior ranks at Bafana Ba Style and was promoted to the first team, where he spent one season. Since then, he has been going in and out on loan.

He has had loan stints at clubs like Maritzburg United, TS Galaxy, and the now-defunct All Stars FC.

In his farewell message, he thanked Downs for unconditional support, mentorship, and a platform to achieve his dreams.

MAKGALWA’S HEARTFELT MESSAGE TO SUNDOWNS

“As I say goodbye to the incredible journey at Mamelodi Sundowns FC, a club that has been a cornerstone of my career. I can’t help but reflect on the titles, memories, and lifelong friendships made here,” wrote Makgalwa.

“Sundowns, you’ve been more than a club; you’ve been my family. Thank you for the unconditional support, mentorship, and the platform to achieve my dreams and showcase my talents.

“Now, it’s time for a new chapter, a new adventure at my new home Upington FC. Excitement fills the air as I look forward to new challenges and experiences.

“Thank you, Masandawana, for the past. Here’s to the future and the journey ahead!”. The pacey attacker is up for a new challenge in the Northern Cape province with his new side. Upington recently got promoted to the second tier.

They are positioned 14th on the log standings with six points out of seven matches. Upington will look to salvage a point against Marumo Gallants on Saturday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium at 15:30
