Former Sundowns star Ralani finds a new home
Former Mamelodi Sundowns star Bradley Ralani has found a new home in the DStv Premiership after leaving the African giants at the end of the season.
Ralani had been without a club since his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns expired in June.
The Tshwane giants decided not to exercise the option to extend his 18-month deal as Ralani was now deemed surplus to requirements.
However, Ralani has since bounced back and returned to Cape Town, where his PSL journey started.
The 36-year-old has joined his former club Cape Town City FC’s rivals Cape Town Spurs on a free transfer.
Ralani’s signing is a major coup for CT Spurs, and it shows the club’s ambition to retain their top-flight status after a dreadful start in the 2023/24 season.
CT Spurs confirmed Ralani’s signing on Thursday morning. “NEW SIGNING ALERT. Surprise is always a good thing! Amethyst Bradley Surprise Ralani signs with the Urban Warriors. Welcome, Warrior,” reads the brief club statement.

The winger is a proven winner, having won two league titles with Sundowns and the Nedbank Cup. He also clinched the MTN8 title with CT City.
In addition, Ralani has made over 145 appearances in the colours of Sundowns and CT City, including in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup. He netted 22 goals and provided 30 assists in the process.
His addition could be the boost that CT Spurs need as they look to end their losing run and climb the DStv Premiership table.
The Urban Warriors have lost all of their opening eight DStv Premiership matches. As a result of the poor start on their return to the Premier Division, the club showed head coach Shaun Bartlett the exit door.
Sean O’Connor has since taken over as interim head coach from the position of Technical Director, with Vasili Manousakis as the assistant coach.
Ralani has already begun training with his new teammates at CT Spurs.
The experienced attacker is expected to make his debut in CT Spurs’ next league match. They take on Orlando Pirates at the DHL Stadium on Wednesday, November 1st.
