Speaking after the PLK match which ended 1-1, Riverio revealed how he has suddenly become a Rugby Fan.

“I was not a rugby fan, I am not going to lie. But since I came here I have managed to watch a couple of games. I ask people around who can explain the rules to me,” he said.

“So I like it to be honest and a few days ago I found myself at home celebrating the victory in the semi-final [against England]. Don’t ask me why but I was really feeling [the tension] in the last minutes.

“It’s even worse when you don’t understand the rules and what is happening there. But it was really nice. Obviously, I love collective sports and what I can say is that it’s a huge day,” added the Spaniard.

“I think they are inspiring people, the way they do things. Their professional level of commitment is something that inspires me. So I take it like a lesson.

“The South African national rugby team is a good picture of this country. A mix of different cultures, fighting, and pushing together makes the nation really proud. So I wish them the best and I am pretty sure that New Zealand is going to have a difficult time,” he said.
