Venda FC cut ties with experienced goalkeeper
Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda Football Club have parted ways with one of their experienced goalkeepers, FARPost has learnt.
The Vhembe-based outfit cut ties with shot-stopper Harold Ndlovu, just 10 games into the new season.
This publication has it in good authority that both parties succumbed to a decision to part ways on a mutual agreement.
WHEN DID HAROLD NDLOVU JOIN VENDA FOOTBALL CLUB
The former Polokwane City and TS Sporting goalie joined Venda FC in the 2022/23 campaign, which was the club’s second season in the SA’s second tier after they purchased Ubuntu Cape Town status.
The goalkeeper, Ndlovu, had joined the Limpopo club as a free agent after he couldn’t secure a deal with Marumo Gallants, whom he was training with at the time.
That season, Ndlovu was competing with the likes of Elson Sithole, Karim Cisse, and Madimana Munyai for the number one jersey at the club.
VENDA FOOTBALL CLUB STRUGGLING
Venda FC started the new term on a wrong foot which saw the club making major changes to their technical team.
Following a string of poor results, coach Joel Masutha tendered his resignation letter. He cited that he’s not greedy and he doesn’t want to drag the team down the drain.
Masutha was then replaced by the side’s technical advisor, Johnny Ferreira.
Surprisingly, a few days after Masutha stepped down from his duties, assistant coach Morgan Shivambu also left the club.
So far, Venda FC has managed to collect eight points from 10 outings. As a result, the club is placed 14th on the log standings.
VENDA FC’S NEXT FIXTURE
Venda FC will take on Magesi in a Limpopo derby on Saturday, 4 November at home. The kick-off is at 15:30.
