How Jamie Webber felt after Mbule and Mokoena moved to Sundowns

Sekhukhune United midfielder Jamie Webber has revealed how he felt after his former teammates Sipho Mbule and Teboho Mokoena moved to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The trio played together at Tshwane outfit SuperSport United under the guidance of coach Kaitano Tembo. Week in, week out they were battling for a place in the midfield.

But at SuperSport, Mbule and Mokoena were ahead of Webber as they were the preferred midfielders due to experience.

It’s every playerโ€™s dream to seal a big move to a top club and perform to their best level. Webber moved out of his comfort zone ahead of the current season to find a new challenge with Babina Noko.

The ever-hardworking Webber says it was a motivation to him to see his former two teammates go to Sundowns.

โ€œWith Sipho [Mbule] and Tebza [Teboho Mokoena] they deserve it because theyโ€™ve done really well even before I got to SuperSport [United],โ€ said Webber.

โ€œFor them leaving it was a motivation for me because when they left I got an opportunity to now play and be a regular player.

โ€œI took the opportunity, but not necessarily in the way I wanted. I could always have improved there.โ€

WHERE JAMIE WEBBER WANTS TO PLAY HIS FOOTBALL

Webber further revealed that he still has ambitions to move to a top club. His top priority is playing in Europe.

The midfield engine has got all it takes to reach his top level considering that heโ€™s 25 years old and heโ€™s not injury prone.

โ€œI obviously have ambitions to go to a big team [abroad] in due time it will come,โ€ he added.
