What has made AmaZulu FC coach heave huge sigh of relief

AmaZulu FC head coach Pablo Franco Martin has revealed what has made him heave a huge sigh of relief recently with his side.

Usuthu seem to have upped their gears somewhat as they havenโ€™t lost a match in their last four games across all competitions.

They are in the Carling Knockout Cup last four after brushing Golden Arrows 3-0 on Saturday in the quarter-finals. They have been pitted against TS Galaxy in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, they lie ninth on the DStv Premiership standings with 12 points after ten matches.

Martin says heโ€™s happy theyโ€™re starting to have solutions to their goal-scoring issues. He feels the return of Junior Dion from injury a few weeks ago gave them a huge boost.

The Ivorian striker has scored five goals in six games he has played, both in the league and the Carling Knockout.

PABLO FRANCO MARTIN RELIEVED AS AMAZULU CAN SCORE NOW

โ€œWe have been talking about this many times for the ones who have been following this team from the beginning,โ€ said Martin in the press conference.

โ€œFootball has no secrets when you have players who are capable of making the difference in the opposite box, youโ€™re closer to winning.

โ€œAnd that happened today [on Saturday when they beat Arrows 3-0], he [Junior Dion] is getting the chances and heโ€™s converting. We missed him in the first games of the season, but now heโ€™s back again from the injury.

โ€œItโ€™s easy for us to achieve our targets.โ€

Martin feels their forwards have gained more confidence because of the goals theyโ€™ve scored recently. Heโ€™s hoping they will hit the back of the net even more.

โ€˜ITโ€™S GOOD FOR OUR CONFIDENCEโ€™

โ€œI am really happy, especially because we need to feel that we can convert those chances when we are creating them,โ€ he added

โ€œI think itโ€™s good for our confidence, especially for the confidence of the attacking players, itโ€™s going to be good because we will score goals.โ€
