Things seem to be heading south for Golden Arrows who had an impressive start to the season, Mabhuti Khenyeza has voiced his thoughts on where it has gone wrong.
On Sunday, Abafana Besโthende suffered their fourth defeat on the trot. They have lost three in the DStv Premiership matches and one in the Carling Knockout Cup.
At some point, they sat comfortably in the second position on the log standings behind the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Theyโre now fourth with 20 points after 12 games.
Khenyeza insisted his troops hadnโt dropped their level of performance. He feels minor mistakes, leading to conceding early goals have let them down.
ARROWS COACH KHENYEZA SAYS THEY ARE CONCEDING STUPID GOALS
โYou can see we are not losing the games because we canโt perform but one mistake [we concede] the game is off and we need to chase again,โ said Khenyeza.
โItโs not like a team that doesnโt perform, that doesnโt play or doesnโt create. But now itโs only that weโre conceding stupid goals and suddenly everything changes, we need to chase the game.
โPlayers get desperate and then we change our approach of the game.โ

However, Khenyeza says heโs glad they amassed many points early and thatโs working for them while theyโre enduring a bad spell.
โWE NEED TO STAY POSITIVEโ
โI think itโs difficult for all of us but weโre trying, we need to make sure that we believe and stay positive,โ added Khenyeza.
โI think at the moment what is working for us is the points that we [collected] earlier in the season. You can see on the log table, weโre staying where we are.
โBut again, weโve dropped nine points, we are supposed to be somewhere. I donโt think itโs good for the club and for us as a technical team.โ
