‘I’m surprised no one picked him up before we signed him’ – Sead Ramovic

TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic says he’s surprised that no one picked one of the club’s highly-rated attackers before they signed him.

Galaxy booked a spot in the Carling Knockout Cup final after beating AmaZulu FC 3-2 at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday.

The Rockets will face Stellenbosch FC who defeated Richards Bay FC 3-0 in the semi-finals at King Zwelithini on Saturday.

Stellies and Galaxy will lock horns in the Carling Knockout Cup final at Moses Mabhida Stadium on the 16th of December.

Before winning against Usuthu, Galaxy brushed aside Polokwane City 3-0 in the DStv Premiership on Sunday, 26 November.

Meanwhile, Galaxy head coach Ramovic has revealed that he’s surprised no one snapped up one of his exciting attackers Lehlohonolo Mojela before they signed him.

Mojela was signed by the Rockets from Casric Stars at the start of the 2023/24 season after impressing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

The 27-year-old midfielder has featured in 13 appearances in all competitions for Galaxy and scored two goals.

Speaking on Radio 2000, Ramovic said “I’m surprised that no one picked up Mojela before we signed him.

“We saw him when we played Casric Stars in a friendly and I immediately told the management to sign him.

“But he’s already 27 [years of age] and clearly there’s something wrong with the structures.” added the German-born tactician.

Mojela scored the opening goal for the Tim Sukazi-owned team against AmaZulu. He walked away with R100 000 prize money after being named CKO man-of-the-match.

The former Platinum City Rovers midfielder won a penalty for Galaxy in the 26th minute which was then converted by Higor Vidal.
