Ex-Baroka FC striker offered contract by Norway giants Molde FK

A former Baroka FC striker has been offered a contract by Norway giants Molde FK after impressing during the assessment.

Molde are currently in the off-season following the end of the Eliteserien season in the past weekend. They ended their campaign with a 1-1 draw against HamKam.

Meanwhile, Bodø/Glimt were crowned the champions, winning the league title with 70 points after 30 games of the season.

Molde, who are the former employers of Manchester City star Erling Haaland, have started preparing for the next campaign as they allowed an opportunity for a South African striker Tristan Nikitaridis to train with them.

As previously reported by FARPost, the forward has been with the side in the past two weeks as the league in Norway was coming to an end. According to a source, he did well enough to impress the club as they have tabled an offer to sign him.

EX-BAROKA FC STRIKER TRISTAN NIKITARIDIS YET TO MAKE DECISION ON CONTRACT OFFERED BY MOLDE

The former Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele man is said to have been offered three years and an option for a further two years.

However, he has yet to put pen to paper to become the new acquisition for the 112-year-old club.

The 24-year-old striker played for the University of Johannesburg in the Varsity Football Tournament. And he went on to sign a long-term contract with Baroka in 2022 when the Limpopo outfit was still up in the DStv Premiership.

He spent only one season with them before departing following their relegation to the second tier.

He also turned out for the University of Pretoria in the Motsepe Foundation Championship and left before the start of the current season. Molde FK would be his fourth professional club should the move materialise.
