Orlando Pirates to miss key midfielder against TS Galaxy
Orlando Pirates will be without one of their key midfielders when they take on TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership encounter on Saturday.
The Buccaneers will welcome the high-flying Galaxy at the Orlando Stadium with the match set to kick-off at 8:00 pm.
Ezimnyama Ngenkani seem to have remembered how to win as they have picked up three league triumphs in their last four league outings. This was after they had struggles, failing to taste a win in four matches in all competitions.
The poor spell saw them drop crucial points taking into account that the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns have won all their opening ten games this season.
The Buccaneers are sixth on the log standings after accumulating 19 points from a possible 36. Despite being two games ahead, Pirates are 11 points behind the Brazilians who have been rampant in this campaign.
Meanwhile, the Rockets are expected present a tough assignment for the Soweto giants with their tails up after booking a spot in the Carling Knockout Cup final.
TS Galaxy sit 11th on the table with 15 points and are just four points behind Pirates.
ORLANDO PIRATES WILL BE WITHOUT THE SERVICES OF KEY MIDFIELDER THABANG MONARE
The Sea Robbers will have to make do without their hard-tackling midfielder Thabang Monare who will sit out his second match after receiving a red card in a match against Richards Bay FC.
Monare was unavailable for selection in the midweek in a match against Moroka Swallows, serving his first-match suspension.
The former Bidvest Wits man has been one of the vital members of Jose Riveiro’s side this season, making 17 appearances in all competitions. Meanwhile, the club has welcomed back Makhehlene Makhaula in training after a brief spell on the sidelines due to injury.
And Innocent Maela and Sipho Chaine are nearly full recovery according to the club’s update. However, it is uncertain whether they will be available for selection on Saturday.
