Keletso Makgalwa fires Upington to impressive win as Orbit drop points
In-form attacker Keletso Makgalwa fired Upington City to an impressive win in the Motsepe Foundation Championship as they beat JDR Stars 3-1 on Saturday at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium.
The Limpopo-born star won a penalty for Upington which was converted by Bonginkosi Makume. He went on to net the last goal that gave the Northern Cape-based outfit maximum points.
Keletso Makgalwa has featured in seven games for Upington City and scored three goals while making two assists.
The Limpopo-born star joined Upington in October 2023 on a free transfer after parting ways with Mamelodi Sundowns. His stint with Upington offers him a new lease of life, which he has taken in his stride.
Elsewhere, Orbit College dropped points after playing to a 1-1 draw against Magesi FC at Olympia Park Stadium on Saturday.
The Mswenko Boys as they are affectionately known remain winless in their last two games in the league after losing 6-1 to Casric Stars last weekend.
