Latest update on Thabo Mnyamane at AmaTuks

AmaTuks head coach Tlisane Motaung has provided the latest update on Thabo Mnyamane, revealing the club’s decision on the attacker.

Mnyamane endured a frustrating spell on the sidelines after parting ways with Marumo Gallants at the end of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season. The left-footed attacker spent the whole of last season as a free agent.

The 31-year-old midfielder spent two seasons at Gallants. He made 45 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals while contributing four assists.

Before joining Gallants, Mnyamane was in the books of Supersport United where he won the Nedbank Cup and MTN8 silverware.

During his four seasons stay at Matsatsantsa, the former Bafana Bafana international made 74 appearances and scored 21 goals while chipping in with nine assists.

Thabo Mnyamane will not be signing with AmaTuks

“Thabo Mnyamane is a player with a very good relationship with AmaTuks having played for the team in the past,” Motaung told FARPost. “So he remains one of the important good players and good human beings who have played for the team.

“We afforded Mnyamane an opportunity to train with us to keep fit and be ready for his next team. We not looking to sign Mnyamane. AmaTuks are very happy to help him to keep fit so that when a team comes knocking for his signature he’s ready.”

Meanwhile, AmaTuks are amongst the chasing pack for automatic promotion to the DStv Premiership next season.

The Tshwane-based side has won six games in the league, drawing six while losing on three occasions. They are sitting fourth in the log with 24 points after 15 games.
