5 Talking points as Sundowns see off CT Spurs
Mamelodi Sundowns continue to cruise nicely in the DStv Premiership as they thrashed Cape Town Spurs 3-0 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday night.
Goals from Sipho Mbule, Grant Kekana and Peter Shalulile were enough for Bafana Ba Style to walk away victorious on their own turf.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS MAINTAIN UNBEATEN RUN
The red-hot Brazilians have won all their 11 league games this season. As a result, Sundowns are the first team to win 11 straight matches from the start of the DStv Premiership campaign.
To add to that, Rulani Mokwena’s charges have also extended their overall unbeaten league run to 35 games. In those 35 games, Sundowns won 29, drew six, and lost none since September 2022.

The unstoppable Masandawana came into this contest with eight players unavailable due to injuries.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS UNBEATEN BY PROMOTED SIDE IN 15 GAMES
The Chloorkop-based outfit are now unbeaten in their last 15 games against a newly promoted team, having won 12 matches, drew three, and lost none in the process.
The last time Sundowns lost to a promoted side was back in October 2017 against AmaZulu.
CAPE TOWN SPURS WOES CONTINUES
The Cape club’s woes continued as Spurs failed to turn the tables around against Sundowns.
This is their 13th defeat of the season from their 14 league matches since they gained promotion to the SA top flight.
CURRENT LOG STANDINGS POSITION
Sundowns are flourishing nicely at the summit of the DStv Premiership log standings with 33 points from 11 outings. Bafana Ba Style are the only team yet to drop points this season.
Meanwhile, Spurs are languishing at the basement of the table [16th place] with three points after 14 games.
