TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi addresses Xola Mlambo clearance saga

TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has addressed the Xola Mlambo saga regarding the clearance following the midfielder’s departure from the club.

Mlambo is currently a free agent after parting ways with the Rockets. He confirmed his exit from the DStv Premiership outfit last month, however, stated that he wasn’t formally cleared at the time.

This meant that he wouldn’t be able to sign for any club until the clearance was handed to him.

Sukazi has commended the player for his professionalism and further expressed his admiration for him. He says they have come a long way with the former Orlando Pirates star and wouldn’t want to speak ill of him.

He has confirmed that the club issued a clearance to Mlambo and the player was free to join a club of his choice, insisting there was “no logic in withholding it”.

TIM SUKAZI CONFIRMS XOLA MLAMBO HAS BEEN GIVEN CLEARANCE

“So, Xola is a player that I dearly love. I’ve brought him up in this career when nobody believed in him,” Sukazi said in an interview with FARPost.

“He’s a good guy and absolutely professional. Really, I wouldn’t want to be drawn into saying anything untoward. Like I said, I have come a long way with him.

“And I really love him. But just to settle your mind, he has his clearance. There would be no logic in withholding a clearance for a player that’s not playing for the club.

“We’re not that type of people.”

‘Ten Ten’, as Mlambo is widely known in football circles, joined Galaxy before the beginning of the 2022/23 season. This was after he left AmaZulu FC.

Besides the two aforementioned clubs, he has also turned out for Orlando Pirates, Bidvest Wits, Chippa United and Cape Town All-Stars.
