Golden Arrows re-sign talented midfielder
Golden Arrows have announced the re-signing of the talented midfielder for the second round of the DStv Premiership 2023/24 season.
Arrows have had an inconsistent start to the campaign as they sit 11th on the log after 14 matches.
The KZN-based side won six games, drawing two while losing on six occasions and they have accumulated 20 points.
During the off-season, Arrows welcomed five new faces in their squad. They signed Bradley Cross, Tebogo Motloung, Olwethu Ncube, Lungelo Nguse and Angelo Van Rooi.
While Arrows are eager to improve their form in the league, they have welcomed back one of their former players.
SIBUSISO SIBEKO REJOINS GOLDEN ARROWS
Abafana Bes’thende have signed Sibusiso Sibeko who joins the club for his second stint after coming through the club’s development structures.
Before Sibeko’s return to Arrows, he was in the books of Motsepe Foundation Championship side Marumo Gallants.
“We welcome back Sibusiso Sibeko to the team Sibeko, a product of our development structures, has re-signed with Lamontvillle Golden Arrows,” the club announced.
“His experience as a senior player will be welcomed and we look forward to presenting him in action soon.”
The former South Africa junior international was promoted to the Arrows senior team in 2014 and left the club in 2020 to join Polokwane City.
Sibeko spent just one season with City where he made 19 appearances and scored two goals. The 28-year-old attacking midfielder then joined Gallants in 2022, featuring in 28 games, scoring two goals.
Meanwhile, Golden Arrows will be looking to collect all maximum points when they face TS Galaxy at Mpumalanga Stadium on Saturday, 23 December. Kickoff is at 15:30.
