Richards Bay FC interim coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi spoke openly about what is expected to be a quite busy transfer window for his side in January.
Having been appointed to lead the Natal Rich Boyz on an interim basis, Vilakazi made a dream start with a 3-1 victory over SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership on Saturday.
This was Richards Bayโs third win this season as the side has been struggling to make progress this season. As they look to strengthen their squad for the second round, Vilakazi says they will be targeting experienced players in January. He said the club will make at least four signings.
He revealed that they are looking for a striker, centre-back and defensive and offensive midfielders.

VUSIMUZI VILAKAZI REVEALS RICHARDS BAY PLANS FOR JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW
โI wouldnโt say we will go to the market as such but we will definitely beef up the squad, obviously with experienced players whoโre there in the system of PSL,โ said Vilakazi.
โWeโve got a lot of youngsters that the team recruited from the ABC Motsepe League and NFD. So, we need the experience now so that we can find ourselves surviving the situation we are under even if itโs short term.
โSo, there are names, Iโm not going to mention them because itโs not yet final. But at least we have about three or four players who will join us when we come back. And [theyโre] very experienced players, they will help us a lot.
โWeโre looking for a striker, weโre looking for two midfielders, one offensive and defensive midfielder. Weโre also looking for an experienced centre-back,โ he added.
โSo, our spine as a whole is an area of concern.โ
