Two more PSL clubs join Pirates in race for Shaune Mogaila
Royal AM utility player Shaune Mogaila’s destination has become even more unpredictable with two new contenders for his signature.
The 28-year-old’s contract with Thwihli Thwahla comes to an end in June this year. He is now free to sign a pre-contract with any club of his choice.
Mogaila has been with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit since 2022 having joined from TS Galaxy. He cemented the right-back position and has been a regular for the Shauwn Mkhize-owned side.
He has made more than 60 appearances, scoring five goals and providing six assists.
His impressive displays saw him receive Bafana Bafana call-up for the COSAFA Cup that took place in Durban before the start of the current season.
Two months ago, this website reported that Mogaila was also on the radar of the Egyptian giants Pyramids and Uzbekistan club FC Nasaf. The two sides were said to have approached Royal AM for the services of the player.
Meanwhile, he is also thought to have been of interest to Orlando Pirates since the previous campaign.
TWO MORE PSL CLUBS INTERESTED IN SIGNING SHAUNE MOGAILA
According to FARPost sources, AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United have joined the race, adding the player to their wishlists. Just like Pirates, Usuthu were previously linked with him last year, they’re said to have revisited their interest.
In addition, the chances for Mogaila to extend his contract with Royal AM are slim taking into account the recent challenges of the club.
Royal AM still can’t sign players due to the FIFA transfer ban that was imposed on them last year as they haven’t paid the money owed to Samir Nurkovic.
They couldn’t strengthen their squad in the last transfer window and have been struggling to come out with desired results.
